Quality Engineer

We are currently looking to hire a Quality Engineer, for our Hyderabad office.

Job Responsibilities

• Review, interpret, and verify engineering drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with company and industry standards (ASME Y14.5, GD&T).
• Support the design and manufacturing teams by providing expertise in SolidWorks for part and assembly modeling, focusing on drawing standards, sheet metal design, and related tools.
• Develop, maintain, and administer the SolidWorks PDM environment, including creating and managing workflows, version control, and document management best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet quality requirements.
• Conduct inspections and audits of drawings, models, and documentation to ensure adherence to standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying potential design or process issues early and providing solutions.
• Maintain familiarity with AutoCAD designs (optional) to assist in cross-platform design collaboration.
• Apply working knowledge of AWS and CSA welding symbols and callouts to support quality reviews and product verification.
• Provide training and mentorship to team members on SolidWorks, PDM, and GD&T standards as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

• ASME Y14.5 / GD&T expertise:

  Minimum 5 years experience interpreting and applying geometric dimensioning and tolerancing standards.

• SolidWorks (Advanced):

  Minimum 5 years experience, with strong focus on drawing creation, interpretation, and drawing standards.

• SolidWorks Sheet-Metal Tools:

  Expert-level knowledge of base flanges, edge flanges, hems, jogs, lofted bends, closed corners, flat patterns, and other sheet-metal features.

• SolidWorks PDM:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a user (intermediate to advanced).
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an administrator creating and managing workflows and permissions.

• AWS / CSA Welding:

  Intermediate knowledge of welding symbols, callouts, and application in product verification.

Optional / Preferred:

• Experience with

  AutoCAD

• Exposure to quality auditing and documentation standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
