Quality Control Engineer (Aerospace)

As a Quality Control Engineer, your role will involve developing effective quality control processes and assurance systems tailored to meet customer needs and requirements. Your hands-on experience in sheet metal, machining components, and special process inspection (such as anodizing, plating, painting, powder coating, welding, brazing, etc.) for sheet metal and machined parts will be crucial. You should have a strong understanding of GD&T and Statistical Process Capability. Key Responsibilities: - Participate in cross-functional teams to contribute to the development of new products or changes related to current products, ensuring they meet customer requirements. - Lead, implement, and maintain processes, including creating FAI documents, APQP, and PPAP, to ensure quality standards are met. - Assist in the creation of Work Instructions (WI) and ensure that customer requirements are properly documented and followed. - Ensure that all documents are in line with Quality Management System (QMS) requirements, specifically AS9100. - Utilize knowledge of core tools such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and MSA to drive quality improvement initiatives. - Participate in technical audits to identify and onboard new suppliers. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree preferred - 4 years of experience as a Quality Control Engineer required - 1 year of experience in the Aerospace industry required - 1 year of experience with ISO/AS/NADCAP standards preferred - 1 year of experience with ATS Metal preferred Location: - Chennai, Tamil Nadu preferred Please note that this is a full-time position that requires in-person work.
