As a Supplier Quality Engineer at YES (Yield Engineering Systems, Inc.), a renowned manufacturer of high-tech capital equipment, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality standards and strategies are met in the manufacturing and procurement of quality components. Your responsibilities will involve close collaboration with suppliers, overseeing supplier quality performance, managing the SCARs program, coordinating with various internal departments to resolve production quality issues, and maintaining constant communication with suppliers to ensure all quality requirements are met. You will also be responsible for reviewing new changes to approved parts, engaging in supplier audits and inspections, coordinating with design engineering on new products and components, and assisting with the process of second sourcing and supplier qualification. Additionally, you will be involved in the coordination of new supplier approvals, ensuring that supplier documents reflect the necessary requirements, and critically analyzing defects while providing future solutions. To qualify for this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering, supply chain management, or a related technical field, along with 5+ years of experience in supply quality, supply chain, or manufacturing. Strong communication and presentation skills, knowledge of Six Sigma methods, lean manufacturing, and quality statistics, as well as the ability to facilitate significant changes and build consensus across multiple organizations, are essential for success in this position.
