Job Description

The Quality & Compliance Subject Matter Expert for Hard Goods position in Bangalore within the Quality & Compliance department is seeking experienced professionals to ensure that hard goods such as furniture, home appliances, tools, and other durable goods meet regulatory, safety, and quality standards. As a Quality & Compliance SME, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, supply chain, and regulatory bodies, to maintain compliance with global and regional standards. Your key responsibilities will include ensuring regulatory compliance for hard goods in alignment with safety, quality, and environmental regulations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing testing protocols to meet brand standards, working with third-party labs for testing and quality validation, and establishing quality control processes throughout the product lifecycle. Additionally, you will maintain compliance records, create technical documentation, and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders. Collaborating with product development, sourcing, and legal teams is essential to integrating compliance into product design and production. Furthermore, you will provide guidance and training to internal teams on compliance best practices and emerging regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, compliance, or regulatory affairs within the hard goods industry. Strong technical expertise in hard goods manufacturing, testing, and certification processes is required, along with familiarity with international standards such as IS, IEC, ISO, UL, CE, RoHS, and REACH. Problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and a Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Management, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field are preferred qualifications. This is a contractual/temporary position with a contract length of 12 months. The benefits include health insurance, paid sick time, and Provident Fund. The work schedule is day shift, Monday to Friday. The preferred experience for this role is 5 years in QA/QC. The work location is in person.
