Quality Assurance - Functional Testing

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Perform end-to-end functional testing of capital market applications to validate business requirements and workflows.
• Review and analyze system specifications, functional requirements, and business processes.
• Design, develop, and execute detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.
• Collaborate closely with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to identify and resolve defects.
• Conduct regression testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) support.
• Log and track defects using tools such as JIRA, ensuring timely resolution and verification.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Prepare detailed test reports, defect summaries, and sign-off documents.
• Work with automation teams for minimal automation scripting or validation as required.
• Ensure adherence to company quality standards and testing best practices

Skills Required:

• Strong experience in Functional Testing within Capital Markets or Financial Services.
• Good understanding of trade lifecycle, financial instruments, and investment banking processes.
• Proficiency in creating, executing, and maintaining test cases and test scripts.
• Familiarity with defect management and test management tools such as JIRA, ALM, or Zephyr.
• Basic knowledge of automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, UFT) will be a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Experience in regression, integration, and UAT testing.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance best practices.
