Quality Assurance Engineer- API Testing

You will be responsible for gathering requirements, designing test automation scripts, executing, debugging, fixing, and sharing results. Collaborating with existing resources on day-to-day test automation challenges will be an integral part of your role. Your tasks will include designing and developing API automation using RestAssured in Java and BDD Framework, as well as performing API and Web Services Testing using tools like Postman, SOAP, and REST APIs. You will also work with Mock Services and set up virtualization environments for API testing. Your role will require applying strong scripting and programming skills using Java, with a focus on object-oriented principles. Implementing and maintaining test automation frameworks using Selenium, particularly with BDD-Cucumber and Xray Framework, will be essential. Collaboration in an Agile development environment and active contribution to sprint deliverables are expected from you. You will also need to apply QA best practices, including test automation, test data preparation, defect identification, and root cause analysis. In this position, you must utilize CI/CD tools such as Maven, GitHub, GitLab, and GitLab Pipeline. Additionally, you will work with JIRA, Confluence, and Xray for test and project management purposes. The ideal candidate for this role should have more than 5 to 9 years of experience, with at least 5 years of relevant experience in Selenium BDD-Cucumber using Java. Hands-on experience in API and Web Services Testing, particularly with tools like Postman, SOAP, and REST APIs, is required. Knowledge of API testing, HTTP, HTTP verbs, and WSDL is essential. Experience in Mock Services and setting up virtualization environments, as well as creating and designing API Automation using RestAssured in Java and BDD Framework, are crucial for this role. Strong experience in selenium test automation framework, especially with Cucumber - BDD & Xray Framework, is preferred. You should possess strong scripting/programming skills in object-oriented programming with Java, along with coding and debugging skills. Experience in an Agile environment and working within a fast-paced team is desirable. Knowledge of QA best practices, CI/CD tools, and tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Xray will be beneficial. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required for this position.,
