Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts for mobile applications using Appium and Python. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to ensure high-quality product releases. You will develop and maintain a robust automated test framework that supports continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. Identifying, tracking, and managing defects will be a crucial part of your responsibilities, providing clear and actionable feedback to the development team. Ensuring thorough test coverage by creating and executing functional, regression, performance, and security tests will be essential in guaranteeing the quality of the mobile applications. Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to automation tests will also be part of your duties, ensuring high reliability and accuracy of test results. Additionally, you will write clear, concise, and comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and reports. Participation in code reviews and providing mentorship to junior automation engineers will be expected from you. To excel in this role, you should have 5+ years of experience in QA automation and software testing. Strong proficiency in Python, with experience in developing and executing test scripts, is required. Expertise in Appium for mobile application automation (both Android and iOS) is crucial. Experience working with test automation frameworks such as Pytest, unittest, Selenium, etc., is desirable. Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, and version control systems like Git is preferred. In-depth knowledge of manual and automated testing processes and best practices is a must. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a proactive mindset are essential, along with strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.,
