Quality Assurance & Analytical Chemist

As a Quality Assurance & Analytical Chemist at FMC, you will play a crucial role in providing daily analysis support by developing, validating, and applying modern analytical technologies for the development and commercialization of agricultural products. Your responsibilities will include: - Knowing, understanding, and practicing all aspects of laboratory safety and industrial hygiene protocols. - Developing, validating, and implementing methods for qualitative and quantitative analysis to meet business needs. - Conducting routine and non-routine analysis of process technical data to ensure project quality and timing needs are met. - Collecting data, generating summaries, and reports. - Supporting the investigation of quality incidents in production and working with tech leaders to implement proper corrective and preventive actions. - Operating, maintaining, and being technically competent in various analytical instrumentation (HPLC, GC, IC, MS, Titrator, FTIR) to provide accurate and reliable data. - Collaborating with synthetic chemists and engineers to provide structure determinations and analytical results as requested. - Managing the quality of active ingredients and intermediates with contract manufacturers, including implementing product specifications and testing methods. - Coordinating sample testing and supporting changes in processes, equipment, and raw material sources. To qualify for this role, you should have: - A Master's degree or above in chemistry/biochemistry or equivalent experience with knowledge of analytical and organic chemistry. - At least 10 years of experience, with a minimum of 8 years in analytical development/quality control positions. - Experience with method development and troubleshooting using various lab instruments/techniques such as HPLC, GC, LCMS, GCMS, IR, titrator, etc. - Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and effective written and oral communication. - Familiarity (or ability to learn rapidly) with computers and software packages from different instrument manufacturers.
