Our office is based in Surat city and we are currently seeking a Mechanical Draughtsman cum QC Engineer to fulfill the following responsibilities. As a Mechanical Draughtsman, your main tasks will involve creating detailed and precise technical drawings utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software or traditional drafting tools. These drawings will encompass plans, elevations, sections, and detailed views of mechanical components. In addition, you should be proficient in operating QC instruments like Vernier Caliper, Height gauge, Micrometer, Dial gauges, and possess knowledge in interpreting technical drawings with GD&T. Familiarity with workshop machines and manufacturing processes is also essential. Key Responsibilities: - Develop detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings using CAD software. - Transform rough sketches, specifications, and verbal instructions into accurate drawings. - Ensure drawings meet industry standards, regulations, and project specifications. - Incorporate feedback and revisions into drawings based on input from senior team members. Quality Control Responsibilities: - Measure and prepare QC reports for manufactured parts. - Maintain thorough documentation related to quality control processes, test outcomes, and corrective actions. Candidate Profile: Education: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable institution. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Role & responsibilities 1. Develop and implement the QA/QC plan for Mivan-based high-rise construction. 2. Ensure all construction activities comply with the approved quality standards and procedures. 3. Liaise with consultants and clients for approvals and inspections. 4. Conduct inspections of Mivan formwork systems including alignment, plumb, level, and surface quality. 5. Ensure correct installation and striking of Mivan panels. 6. Monitor de-shuttering times, material handling, and reuse standards. 7. Supervise concrete pouring for vertical and horizontal elements. 8. Conduct cube testing, slump testing, and temperature checks. 9. Ensure curing practices are adhered to as per specifications. 10. Maintain daily inspection reports, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and corrective action records. 11. Prepare and update checklists for all construction activities. 12. Ensure records of quality assurance and control documentation are maintained. 13. Coordinate with site engineers, foremen, subcontractors, and other departments. 14. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards. 15. Participate in internal and external audits and implement necessary improvements. Preferred candidate profile 1. Bachelors degree or diploma in Civil Engineering. 2. Minimum 510 years of experience in QA/QC for high-rise construction using Mivan formwork. 3. Thorough knowledge of concrete technology, structural detailing, and finishing standards. 4. Familiarity with IS codes, relevant construction standards, and QA/QC practices. 5. Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and QA documentation tools. 6. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. 7. Good communication and documentation ability. 8. Capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced environment. 9. Certification in quality systems (e.g., ISO 9001) is an added advantage.

Understand and review all Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) and Utility Requirements in companies database to ensure design quality. Understand and review all client specific design standards. Ensure, document, and comply with all local and national code requirements. Review and be familiar with balance of system (BOS) components and their technical requirements. Provide technical support when needed. Review design packages (cover sheets, plot plans, roof plans, electrical plans, attachment details, elevation details, electrical line diagrams, wiring calculations, labels, placards, equipment specs) for technical errors. Review and modify drawing sets in AutoCAD and customer software tools. Develop and execute quality assurance feedback loop to design engineers and implement process control, improvement, and record keeping of designer errors.
