As a Qualcomm Machine Learning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in creating and implementing machine learning techniques, frameworks, and tools to efficiently utilize cutting-edge machine learning solutions across various technology verticals. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the software design and development of the Qualcomm AI Stack, SDKs, and associated tools for Snapdragon platforms. Your expertise in software design, development, analytical skills, and debugging will be essential in contributing to the success of the projects. In this position, you will lead a team as a Sr. Staff Engineer, focusing on developing applications, Test Framework, and automating the evaluation of "Agentic AI and multimodal use cases" using Qualcomm AI Stack SDKs and tools on Snapdragon platforms. Collaboration will be a key aspect of your role as you work closely with the AI software team and internal sub-teams supporting the Orchestrator SDK. Your autonomy and leadership skills will be valued as you provide guidance to team members and make significant decisions that impact the overall work beyond your immediate group. Key Responsibilities: - Develop test applications to evaluate Agentic AI and Multimodal use cases using Qualcomm AI Stack SDKs and tools on Snapdragon platforms. - Lead architecture, feature development, and enhancements in the SDK for various platforms. - Collaborate with the AI software team and internal sub-teams within Qualcomm to support the Orchestrator SDK. - Work independently with minimal supervision, providing guidance to team members and making impactful decisions in ambiguous situations. Minimum Qualifications: - 10+ years of general software development experience - 5+ years of Android/Linux software development experience - Experience in ML application development using Python/C/C++ - Ability to lead a software team and collaborate effectively - Strong software design and development skills, including data structure, algorithm design, and object-oriented programming - Excellent communication skills to convey complex information to diverse audiences and stakeholders - Strong decision-making abilities in the face of limited or conflicting information Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with different operating systems such as Linux, Android, QNX - Familiarity with Qualcomm AI Stack products like QNN, SNPE, QAIRT - Knowledge of LLM, LVM, LMM models, ONNX RT, and various NN architectures - Software development experience with Python/Java - Ability to collaborate across diverse global teams and interests Education Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (required) - Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering (preferred) Qualcomm is dedicated to fostering diversity in its teams and expects all employees to actively support this initiative.
