QA Tester (Manual)

Role & responsibilities

• Review and analyze system specifications, requirements, and technical documents.
• Create maintain, and execute

  manual test cases

  for web and mobile applications.
• Perform different types of testing

  functional

  ,

  regression

  ,

  integration

  ,

  UAT

  , and

  smoke testing

• Identify, document, and track bugs using issue-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla or Trello).
• Collaborate with developers and business teams to ensure defects are properly understood and resolved.
• Participate in

  test planning

  test execution

  , and

  release validation

• Verify bug fixes and ensure overall product quality before release.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in testing processes and standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Minimum

  2 years of experience

  as a

  Manual QA Tester

  .
• Solid understanding of

  software testing life cycle (STLC)

  and

  defect life cycle

  .
• Experience in

  test case creation

  ,

  execution

  reporting

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with

  Agile/Scrum

  development methodologies.
• Knowledge of

  API testing

  (Postman or similar) is an added advantage.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience testing web-based and mobile applications.
• Basic understanding of

  SQL

  for data validation.
• Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Selenium) is a plus but not required.
• ISTQB or similar certification preferred.
