QA- SDET (Cypress)

As a QA Automation Engineer at Fictiv, you will play a crucial role in the product development process, ensuring overall product quality through test automation. If you have a passion for providing end-to-end solutions to software quality challenges and enjoy designing and implementing automated tests that enhance product delivery standards, increase software release efficiency, and elevate quality, we would like to meet you. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the engineering team to drive the evolution of our systems and infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include automating and maintaining end-to-end integration tests, identifying automation candidates, creating test scripts, and developing integration tests using tools like Cypress and Playwright. Additionally, you will conduct code reviews, establish and uphold team standards and best practices, offer automation guidance to engineering teams, and monitor and manage the existing library of integration tests. The ideal candidate for this position holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and has 2-3 years of experience in test automation, with at least 1-2 years of hands-on experience with Cypress and/or Playwright. You should be proficient in writing automation tests using Cypress and JavaScript, capable of operating the system through UI and backend API calls, and adept at creating reusable code for multiple tests. Experience in an Agile development environment, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams are essential.
