QA - Routing & switching + Python Automation testing

Key Responsibilities: - Test new features and automate to verify product capabilities - Execute Regression wherever required - Collaborate with engineers across teams to ensure quality for the features - Develop in-depth knowledge of product architecture and ability to root-cause issues - Coordinate activities with North America test and development teams as needed - Review FS and test plan/scripts - Possess detailed knowledge of Carrier Ethernet products and ability to quickly ramp up on new technologies and concepts - Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in two or more of the following domains: Carrier Ethernet, MPLS, G.8032, OAM (BFD, CFM, EOAM, AIS), BGP, ISIS, OSPF Qualifications Required: - Proficient troubleshooting and problem-solving skills - Strong team orientation and interpersonal skills to understand customers" needs and expectations - Ability to multitask on multiple projects - Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with remote QA and Development teams - Commitment to product excellence and quality - Quick grasp of advanced concepts/methodology and contribution to improving and extending their impact - Conduct knowledge sharing sessions on moderate to complex topics - Bachelor's degree in EE/CS - 4-8 years of relevant experience in telecommunications, test, and automation - Hands-on experience with at least 2 of the following Networking Protocols: Carrier Ethernet, MPLS, G.8032, OAM (BFD, CFM, EOAM, AIS), BGP, ISIS, OSPF - Proficiency in Python - Experience with Ixia traffic generators - Desirable experience with IxNetwork - Understanding of AI and ML is a plus Additional Company Details: Ciena is committed to creating an inclusive environment where employees feel respected, valued, and heard.
