QA QC Engineer

Designation : QA/QC Engineer Civil

Role :

We are searching for a Quality Engineer; to handle the Quality control and compliance works of Building project with MEP works in Mumbai. A construction QA/QC engineer is responsible for ensuring projects meet quality standards and specifications through a variety of roles, including preparing and implementing quality control plans, conducting site and material inspections, managing documentation, and resolving quality-related issues. They ensure compliance with all project specifications, codes, and regulations, and collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to maintain high standards throughout the construction process equipment.

Responsibility:

• Quality planning and implementation:
• Develop and implement quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) plans for the project.
• Create Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and checklists.
• Coordinate with contractors to ensure adherence to the approved quality system.
• Inspections and testing:
• Conduct daily on-site inspections of construction activities to ensure they meet drawings and specifications.
• Oversee and perform inspections on raw materials, finished products, and workmanship.
• Monitor and document various testing procedures including but not limited to Concrete, Earthwork, Raw materials, welding, etc.,
• Documentation and reporting:
• Maintain all project quality documentation, including certificates, test results, and non-conformance reports.
• Prepare and submit regular quality control reports to project managers and senior management.
• Ensure all technical documents and drawings are current and accessible to the site team to prevent rework.
• Problem resolution and compliance:
• Identify non-conformances and work with relevant teams to develop and implement corrective actions.
• Liaise with consultants, clients, and other departments to address and close quality-related issues.
• Ensure the project complies with all local building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards, such as ISO 9001 and client requirements
• Collaboration and training:
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers on all quality matters.
• Conduct quality awareness training for site personnel to ensure they understand project standards and procedures.
• Assist in organizing internal and external quality audits.

Requirements :

• Education

  : A bachelor's degree/ Diploma in Civil Engineering,

• Experience

  : 5 to 7 years of experience in the construction industry, with minimum 2 years spent in a dedicated QA/QC role, is mandatory.

• Technical Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, building codes, and industry standards
• Familiarity with quality management systems like ISO 9001.
• Proficiency with relevant software, including MS Office and construction-specific programs.
