QA QC Chemical Engineer

As a Support Shift In Charge, your primary responsibilities include coordinating shifts, prioritizing samples for testing, ensuring correct sample collection and distribution, and maintaining pre-testing storage locations. You will be required to identify calibration needs, prepare standards, and conduct calibrations as per schedule. Additionally, evaluating performance of additives, tracking quality of raw materials, and classifying product grades based on specifications are key tasks. Your role involves timely testing and reporting of raw materials, in-process samples, products, and troubleshooting samples across all plants. You will be responsible for detecting deviations in test results, performing emergency mitigation under guidance, and ensuring proper sample retention and disposal according to SOP. A strong awareness of Laboratory Quality Systems, LIMS, and SAP QM operations is essential for day-to-day lab work. Managing laboratory inventory, participating in quality audits, and complying with regulatory requirements are integral parts of your job. Upholding HSE standards, handling chemicals safely, and maintaining good housekeeping practices are crucial for a safe working environment. Your involvement in learning and mentoring activities, conducting training for analysts, and staying updated on technical competencies are vital for professional growth. Participating in external trainings, executing tasks efficiently, and adapting to changes in plans are expected from you. Working with various stakeholders, prioritizing activities, and demonstrating competency in fire safety management, gas detection, waste management, and HSE procedures are essential skills required for this role. A solid understanding of statistical analysis, test procedures, raw material specifications, and equipment operation is necessary for accurate testing and evaluation of results. Your educational background should include a B.Sc. in Chemistry, with a preference for Masters degree.
