What we are looking for: We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Analyst to test and validate Power BI

reports being migrated from MicroStrategy. This role involves creating and executing test plans,

validating data accuracy, and ensuring functional parity between legacy and new reporting systems. The

ideal candidate will have strong SQL skills for working with complex datasets, experience with BI testing

best practices, and preferably automation skills to streamline regression testing.

Role: Senior QA Analyst Power BI Report Testing

Location: Hyderabad

Shift timings: Swing Shift

Years of experience: 5+ Years of experience

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for Power BI reports migrated

from MicroStrategy

• Validate data accuracy, transformations, and calculations by writing and running complex SQL queries

against large datasets

• Ensure functional parity and consistency between legacy MicroStrategy reports and new Power BI

reports

• Collaborate with BI developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements

and clarify testing scope

• Perform regression, functional, and data integrity testing across multiple data sources

• Identify, log, and track defects; work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution

• Preferably, implement and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, TypeScript, or similar tools

to increase test efficiency

Technical Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in QA, with a focus on BI/reporting solutions with some cloud based experience

• Must have Strong SQL skills with the proven ability to write complex SQL queries to test large data sets

that exceed 1 million records.

• Hands-on experience testing Power BI

• Familiarity with test automation tools (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress) and scripting in TypeScript, or

similar preferred

• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and relational databases

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

• Experience with MicroStrategy is a plus
