QA Lead Engineer - Routing & switching testing + Python Automation

As a Solution Test Automation Engineer at Ciena, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing automation suites for platform-independent current and next-generation packet software. Your contributions will directly impact the quality and performance of CIENA's networking products. Here is how you will contribute: Responsibilities: - Automate solution test plans to verify product capabilities - Execute automated regression suites and report test results using Quality Center (QC) - Collaborate closely with engineers across teams to ensure feature quality - Develop in-depth knowledge of product architecture and troubleshoot issues effectively - Coordinate activities with North America test and development teams as needed - Review FS and test plan/scripts - Possess detailed knowledge of Carrier Ethernet products and be adept at quickly learning new technologies - Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in two or more of the following domains: Carrier Ethernet, MPLS, G.8032, OAM (BFD, CFM, EOAM, AIS), BGP, ISIS, OSPF The Must Haves: - Proficient troubleshooting and problem-solving skills - Strong team-oriented and interpersonal skills - Ability to multitask effectively on multiple projects - Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with remote teams - Commitment to product excellence and quality - Quick learner with the ability to grasp advanced concepts - Conduct knowledge sharing sessions on critical topics - BE/B.Tech.
