Qa Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA Engineer to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 5 years of experience in manual testing, with exposure to automation tools, and hands-on experience testing mobile apps, OTT platforms (Android TV, Fire TV), websites, and AI-driven applications. This role involves validating functionality, performance, and user experience across platforms, while ensuring the quality and consistency of AI model outputs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive manual testing for mobile apps (Android & iOS), OTT platforms (Android TV, Fire TV), responsive websites, and AI-powered features.
  
• Test AI-driven functionalities such as virtual assistants, recommendation systems, and predictive analytics models.
  
• Design and execute functional, non-functional, regression, integration, and exploratory test cases.
  
• Validate UI/UX consistency, playback performance, and behavior of AI outputs for accuracy, fairness, and performance.
  
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA team members in an Agile environment.
  
• Document test cases, test plans, and detailed bug reports using tools like Jira or TestRail.
  
• Handle API and frontend validations using tools such as Postman.
  
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  
• Contribute to continuous testing, monitoring, and QA process improvements.
  

Required Skills:

• 25 years of QA experience with strong manual testing background.
  
• Experience testing mobile apps, OTT platforms (Android TV, Fire TV), and web applications.
  
• Exposure to AI/ML concepts and testing non-deterministic systems.
  
• Understanding of QA methodologies, testing types, and defect lifecycle.
  
• Familiarity with cross-platform/device testing and performance validation.
  
• Experience with tools like Postman, JMeter, Jira, TestRail, and optionally Playwright/Cypress/Selenium.
  
• Basic knowledge of network and console logs for debugging.
  
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  
• Self-driven and open to learning new technologies.
  

Nice to Have:

• Understanding of OTT content delivery and streaming-related scenarios.
  
• Exposure to automation tools or scripting.
  
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and version control systems like Git.
