As a QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in an expanding and highly valued software development team that is dedicated to developing cutting-edge analytic software for high-profile customers across various industries. You will have the opportunity to work with the latest technologies and software development methodologies under the guidance of the Senior Director, Software Quality Assurance. In this role, you will contribute by developing test plans and strategies that align with functional requirements, user stories, and user acceptance criteria. You will oversee the team and engage in both manual and automated testing, including "black" and "grey" box testing. Your responsibilities will include executing application, usability, functional, regression, and performance testing for business applications in a client/server environment. Additionally, you will review, author, and maintain automated test scripts to support QA automation, evaluate testing results, and communicate product readiness and quality levels to Quality Assurance Management and the project team. You will also play a key role in identifying gaps in quality assurance processes, generating solutions, and implementing improvements for continuous enhancement. Participation in release planning and product roll-out will also be part of your responsibilities. We are seeking candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Applications Systems Design, or a related field, along with at least 7 years of overall experience. The ideal candidate will have expertise in the software quality assurance industry, strong QA process knowledge, excellent testing skills, and experience with commercial software development processes. Proficiency in Core Java, Test case Automation using Selenium (or any other Java-based tool), QA concepts and methodologies, and test management tools like QTEST, JIRA, Quality Center is essential. Experience in developing and implementing test automation strategies, working with RDBMS and NoSQL databases, and exposure to Scrum or other agile development methodologies are preferred. Hands-on experience in building automation frameworks for GUI and API/Webservices, as well as working knowledge of Unix and Databases, will be advantageous.
