QA Automation Lead Engineer

As a Stargate QA Automation Lead Engineer at Barclays, you will have the opportunity to play a crucial role in shaping the future of the engineering team responsible for the development, design, testing, and enhancement of the Stargate platform. Your primary objective will be to lead application testing and test automation, including defining and executing test strategies, managing program updates, preparing and verifying test suits, conducting functional testing, and contributing to test automation as part of the Reference data platform build. Additionally, you will lead Data quality assurance, Functional testing, and Test Automation for the Ref data platform. To be successful in this role, you should possess experience in QA lead, team management, Manual/Automated testing, Selenium, GoldenSource, cucumber, Xray, Jenkins, etc. You should also demonstrate strong leadership qualities, the ability to drive initiatives related to test automation, a capability to comprehend reference data requirements, strong test management skills, excellent experience in manual testing and process improvement, and proficiency in tools like SQL, Git, Maven, Cucumber, API testing, Java. Additionally, having strong verbal, communication, and analytical skills, experience in building regression packs, and a relevant Bachelors or Masters degree are required. Highly valued skills may include a strong understanding of indexing and query optimization to improve the performance of tools like Maven, Git, PostgreSQL. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing comprehensive test plans and strategies, creating and executing automated test scripts, collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and participate in design discussions, conducting root cause analysis for identified defects, promoting a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing, and staying informed of industry technology trends. As a Vice President in this role, you will contribute to setting strategy, driving requirements, managing resources and budgets, and delivering continuous improvements. For individual contributors, you will be a subject matter expert guiding technical direction, leading collaborative assignments, training and coaching team members, and providing guidance on long-term profits, organizational risks, and strategic decisions.
