QA Automation Engineer Web & Mobile (Playwright + Appium)

As a QA Automation Engineer at our company, you will be responsible for designing and executing automation tests for web and mobile applications. You will develop and maintain automated test suites using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript) for web applications. Additionally, you will create and manage robust Appium test scripts for iOS and Android platforms. Your role will involve setting up and overseeing test automation frameworks and pipelines for CI/CD integration using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitLab CI. - Analyze requirements to develop scalable and maintainable automation test strategies - Collaborate with Product Managers and Developers to define acceptance criteria - Ensure comprehensive test coverage - Identify, log, and track bugs using tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps - Generate detailed test reports - Participate in root cause analysis with developers You will work closely with developers, DevOps, and product teams to facilitate integrated and efficient testing across Web and Mobile platforms. Your responsibilities will include mentoring junior QA engineers and participating in code reviews of test scripts to ensure quality standards are met. - Proficiency in Web Automation using Playwright with strong experience in Playwright using TypeScript/JavaScript - Ability to automate cross-browser testing, parallel executions, and network request interception - Expertise in Appium with Java, Python, or JavaScript for Mobile Automation - Experience in mobile UI testing for native, hybrid, and web apps on Android and iOS platforms - Knowledge of device farms like BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or Firebase Test Lab In addition to the above, you should have a strong understanding of the test lifecycle, SDLC/STLC, and Agile methodologies. Experience with test management tools such as TestRail, Zephyr, XRay, and API testing using Postman or RestAssured is necessary. Preferred skills for this role include experience in CI/CD integration for automated tests, familiarity with Docker and containerized testing environments, and proficiency in using BDD frameworks like Cucumber/Behave. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. You should have at least 3+ years of hands-on QA automation experience and proven expertise in Playwright and Appium.,
