QA and Testing

As a Senior Automated Test Facilitator at Standard Chartered, you will be responsible for understanding requirements, preparing and executing tests while adhering to all test controls. Your role will involve working across multiple application teams to coach team members, embed processes, and facilitate change to ensure the validation of product quality according to group standards. You should have a good understanding of integration testing, system testing, API, performance testing, and regression testing. Additionally, experience in web-based application testing, API automation, and familiarity with non-functional requirements of software development are preferred. It is essential to be well-versed in BDD and functional test automation, with demonstrable programming knowledge in an OOP language, preferably Java. Your responsibilities will include developing test specifications based on various requirement documents, creating test beds and verifying test environments, and developing regression packs to ensure the functionality of previous scope requirements. You will also be involved in functional and technical test execution activities, automated testing, non-functional test execution activities such as performance testing, and identifying negative testing scenarios. Furthermore, your role will require constant communication and collaboration with various stakeholders during test planning and execution phases, reporting and updating test status promptly and accurately, and enabling project meetings to provide feedback on project statistics and test quality. You should have a full understanding of the SDLC, particularly Agile methodologies, and be familiar with test management processes. In addition to the technical aspects, you will be expected to lead by example, build a culture of collaboration and values within your team, provide ongoing training and development for team members, and ensure compliance with regulatory and business conduct standards. Your role will also involve contributing to multiple projects, working independently or within a team to provide innovative solutions when necessary, and collaborating with development and delivery teams to troubleshoot technical issues. Having a minimum of 7+ years of experience in testing, including manual and automation testing with tools like Selenium, Cucumber, and API, along with a good understanding of the BDD framework, Agile processes, and experience in the banking domain will be essential for this role.
