Role & responsibilities Design stable, reliable and effective databases Optimize and maintain legacy systems Modify databases according to requests and perform tests Liaise with developers to improve applications and establish best practices Gather user requirements and identify new features Develop technical and training manuals Provide data management support to users Ensure all database programs meet company and performance requirements Research and suggest new database products, services and protocols • Providing inputs into the underlying systems for service improvement; engaging with providers for any issues faced. Escalating issues that are open or not resolved within the predefined timeframe. Required Skills of the candidate: • Spark, redshift, Python, Database Development, T/SQL, Unix, Perl, Shell, PySpark, Hadoop/Spark. • Strong in scripting language like Unix/K-Shell • Hands on experience with T/SQL with expertise in MS SQL Server internals, system tables and databases • Hands on experience with Cloud based databases, migration of databases from one platform to another (SQL to NoSQL) • Knowledge of Software Development Cycle • Excellent analytical and organization skills • An ability to understand back-end requirements and a problem-solving attitude • Thorough knowledge on working of indexes, types of indexes, and indexing algorithms • Experience in architecting, optimizing, and maintaining large databases Preferred candidate profile Preferred from Product-Based Company
