Python/Django Development Lead

Role Overview: You are an experienced Senior Python/Django Developer joining the growing engineering team in Ahmedabad. Your main responsibilities will include designing and building scalable backend solutions, leading development best practices, and contributing to high-performance applications. Your role demands strong technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and the willingness to work in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities: - Build and maintain production-grade web applications using Django, Python, and REST APIs. - Design and optimize relational databases such as PostgreSQL/MySQL. - Implement secure authentication/authorization flows like OAuth and JWT. - Apply strong debugging, unit testing, and problem-solving practices. - Collaborate with teams using Git, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized environments (Docker, AWS/GCP/Azure). - Ensure backend security, performance tuning, and scalability. - Mentor junior developers and contribute to best practices in coding and architecture. Qualification Required: Core Skills: - Excellent communication in English, strong teamwork, and commitment to company values. - Minimum 5 years of backend development experience, with a strong focus on Django and Python. - Deep understanding of Django ORM, Django REST Framework, and API architecture. - Experience in database design, query optimization, and performance tuning. - Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows. - Familiarity with Docker, Redis, Celery, and cloud platforms like AWS/GCP/Azure. - Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, backend security, and scalability patterns. Bonus Skills: - Front-end experience with React, Angular, or Vue.js. - Exposure to microservices, containerization, and cloud-native deployment. - Hands-on experience in e-commerce, fintech, or SaaS platforms. - Team mentoring and leadership experience.
