Job description:

1. Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable data processing applications
2. Write efficient, reusable and well documented code
3. Deliver big data projects using Spark, Scala, Python, SQL, HQL, Hive
4. Leverage data pipelining application to package work
5. Maintain and tune existing Hadoop applications
6. Work closely with QA, Operations and various teams to deliver error free software on time
7. Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
8. Actively participate in daily agile / scrum meetings

Job skill

1. 5-8 years of software development experience with Hadoop framework components(HDFS, Spark, PySpark, Sqoop, Hive, HQL, Spark, Scala)
2. Experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
3. 4+ years of experience using Python, SQL and shell scripting
4. Experience in developing and tuning spark applications
5. Excellent understanding of spark architecture, data frames and tuning spark
6. Strong knowledge of database concepts, systems architecture, and data structures is a must
7. Process oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
9. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
