Python Developers with Networking Domain

As a Python Developer with Networking Domain at Benison, you will be responsible for developing core backend modules using Python and SQLite to handle firewall configuration extraction, transformation, and loading. You will implement a plugin-based architecture to support various vendors and design efficient SQLite schemas for storing device configuration data and migration metadata. Collaboration with the frontend team to build seamless migration workflows and participation in discussions related to product architecture and data models will be key aspects of your role. Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code following best practices, as well as collaborating in Agile teams to deliver within sprint timelines, are also important responsibilities. Furthermore, you will provide support for troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning of application modules. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with at least 4-5 years of experience in backend development using Python. A strong understanding of SQLite and relational database design, along with experience in building REST APIs and working with JSON data structures, is essential. Proficiency in software version control systems such as Git, good knowledge of basic networking and firewall configuration concepts, and the ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code are required. Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills are also important. Preferred qualifications include experience working with firewall platforms like Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or in network/security domains, exposure to plugin-based or modular software designs, and familiarity with Docker and Cloud technologies. Knowledge of DevOps pipelines and CI/CD practices, as well as exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies, will be advantageous.
