Role & responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain AWS based robust Python APIs and microservices to expose AI capabilities to internal or external consumers.
• Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to turn research models into production-ready code.
• Integrate AI models into existing or new backend systems.
• Optimize AI models for performance and efficiency, monitor them post-deployment.
• Implement model pipelines including data preprocessing, inference, and post-processing logic.
• Build scalable infrastructure for serving AI models using frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, FastMCP, or gRPC.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and architecture.
• Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
• Ensure software quality through comprehensive testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest AI research, tools, and best practices

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 4+ years of hands-on work experience in Python development with focus on AI integration.
• Strong proficiency in Python, with a strong understanding of Pythonic practices, REST, OOP concepts, design patterns and SOLID principles.
• Proficient in Core Python, Flask, Django, FastAPI, ORM, FastMCP, Async programming, scripting and automation.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Experience with version control (Git/Bitbucket) and collaborative development workflows.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines primarily through Jenkins.
• Exposure to AWS and AWS managed services (ECS, S3, Lambda, SQS, Amplify, etc).
• Exposure to containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms such as ECS & Kubernetes.
• Can produce clean DRY code on aggressive timelines.
• Possess strong Git-fu.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
