Python Backend Developer -AI/ML(IITs/NITs/IIITs)

Role Overview

We're seeking a talented Python Backend Developer to architect and deliver scalable backend solutions. Responsibilities

• Scalable Backend Development

  : Design, build, and optimize backend services using Python and FastAPI, emphasizing performance, scalability, security, and efficient handling of high-traffic loads.

• AI/ML Exposure and Integration

  :

Collaborate on computer vision tasks using tools like OpenCV, YOLO, CLIP, and embeddings.

Integrate LLMs and Generative AI (e.g., OpenAI, Gemini, Hugging Face) for features such as function calling and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).

Assist in fine-tuning and customizing pre-trained models for domain-specific applications.

• End-to-End System Ownership

  : Drive prototypes from ideation to production, including monitoring, database integration (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL), and ensuring seamless scalability.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration

  : Partner with AI/ML specialists to deliver integrated, AI-powered features that enhance user experiences.

Requirements

• Proven expertise in Python, FastAPI, REST APIs, OOP principles, and Data Structures/Algorithms, with a track record of building scalable backend solutions.
• 12 years of professional experience, including hands-on work with AI/ML models (training, fine-tuning, deployment) as a plus.
• Familiarity with computer vision libraries (e.g., OpenCV, YOLO, CLIP) and LLM integrations (e.g., OpenAI, Gemini, Hugging Face).
• Experience with vector search and databases like MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, a quick learner's mindset, and the ability to thrive in ambiguous, high-impact environments.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field; alumni from top-tier institutions like IITs, NITs, and IIITs are strongly encouraged to apply.

Bonus Points for

• Hands-on experience with real-time APIs/WebSockets (e.g., for voice chat or chatbot integrations).
• Cloud deployment skills (AWS, GCP, Azure, Docker) for scalable architectures.
