Job Description

In this vital role, you will collaborate with cybersecurity departments to define and implement automation requirements that streamline security processes and incident response . Responsibilities include creating automation playbooks using low-code platforms , integrating security tools , developing custom APIs , and maintaining technical documentation . You will also contribute to machine learning algorithm tuning for cybersecurity applications and keep up with evolving trends to bolster Amgen's security posture. Key Responsibilities Develop automation playbooks using low-code platforms for security operations Design, code, and integrate custom REST APIs Integrate new and existing security tools and platforms Create and maintain technical documentation and user guides Monitor and maintain the automation platform, applying latest patches and updates Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST) Track security trends and recommend improvements Triage findings from tools, reports, and testing to assess risk Guide developers and stakeholders with remediation advice Basic Qualifications Master's degree with 13 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor's degree with 35 years of relevant experience OR Diploma with 79 years of relevant experience Functional Skills Must-Have: Proficiency in Python scripting and automation Experience with REST API technology Hands-on experience with Linux systems Familiarity with Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) tools (e.g., Swimlane, Cortex XSOAR) Ability to develop automation playbooks and integrate security tools Good-to-Have: Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks , technologies, and best practices Experience with risk management , incident response , and security governance Knowledge of security architecture principles Professional Certifications (Preferred) CEH Certified Ethical Hacker CompTIA Security+ RHCSA Red Hat Certified System Administrator CISSP Certified Information Systems Security Professional Soft Skills Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Effective in global, virtual team environments High initiative and self-motivation Skilled at prioritization and multitasking Team-oriented with a focus on collaboration and results Strong presentation and public speaking skills
