Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Development Lead to guide and mentor a team of 10-15 engineers at our AI-focused IT company serving clients across all industry sectors. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with people management, focusing on establishing fundamental software engineering practices, scalable architectures, and robust development pipelines for AI applications. A key aspect of this role is working alongside developers who leverage GenAI tools and AI Agents for rapid code generation and automation to establish engineering practices that ensure code quality, maintainability, and scalability. Youll collaborate with the team to build standards and processes that complement AI-assisted development with solid engineering foundations. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership: Architecture & Design: Lead the design and implementation of scalable, maintainable full-stack applications with AI/ML components Code Quality: Establish and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and best practices across the engineering team Infrastructure: Design and implement robust development, staging, and production environments using cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) DevOps Excellence: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and deployment strategies Performance & Scaling: Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness in production environments Team Development & Mentorship: Engineering Practice Establishment: Work with the team to establish robust software engineering principles, design patterns, and architectural standards that complement AI-assisted development Code Quality Standards: Collaborate with team members to build comprehensive code review processes that ensure maintainability, scalability, and adherence to design principles AI Tool & Agent Integration: Partner with the team to develop effective workflows using GenAI tools and AI Agents while maintaining code understanding and engineering rigor Collaborative Learning: Foster regular technical discussions, architecture reviews, and knowledge sharing sessions to elevate collective understanding Process Development: Work together to establish and refine development practices including Git workflows, testing methodologies, documentation standards, and deployment procedures Engineering Culture: Build a collaborative environment where engineering excellence and rapid AI-assisted development work hand in hand Hands-On Development: Full-Stack Development: Contribute to both frontend and backend development of AI-powered applications AI Integration: Implement and optimize ML/Gen AI features, AI Agents, and integrations Technical Problem Solving: Debug complex issues and provide technical guidance on challenging problems Required Qualifications Experience & Skills: 5-10 years of software development experience with a proven track record of delivering production applications Full-stack expertise with modern web technologies (React/Vue/Angular, Node.js/Python/Java, databases) AI/ML Project Experience: Demonstrated hands-on experience working on AI/ML projects and integrating machine learning models into applications Cloud Platform Proficiency: Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) DevOps & Infrastructure: Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code Architecture Knowledge: Strong understanding of software architecture patterns, microservices, and system design principles Version Control Mastery: Advanced Git skills including branching strategies, code review processes, and automation workflows Leadership & Communication : Technical Leadership: Experience leading technical projects and mentoring other developers Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex technical concepts to team members at various skill levels Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and debugging skills with attention to detail Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving AI technologies Preferred Qualifications Mobile Development: Responsibilities: Experience in Large Language Models (LLMs) with deep dive into Generative AI applications using Python to optimize platform functionalities Good exposure with implementing robust CI/CD automation and orchestration using tools like Azure DevOps Research and implement appropriate AI/ML algorithms and tools for developing machine learning applications to requirements Design and implementation of the overall web architecture with real time exposure of developing REST APIs Good command for designing and building the entire stack for speed and scalability Good exposure for building models, algorithms, simulations and performance evaluation by writing highly optimized, deployable code using AI-ML technologies Exposure with building solutions for data discovery, data acquisition, data processing cleaning, data integration, data interpretation Define and manage the process of production using machine learning models through MLOps pipelines for development, continuous integration, continuous delivery, verification, validation, and monitoring of AI/ML models Involve with stakeholders to analyse for solving business problems using Machine learning/ Artificial Intelligence solutions for deployment on a cloud platform Alignment with industry trends, innovations and developments in AI/ML and work with other ML teams to pilot new advances and keep the organisation future-ready Understanding customer pain points, business requirements and developing models that help to achieve them, along with metrics to track their progress Commanding exposure with scope, define, and deliver AI-based data products covering data analysis, visualization, storytelling and data technologies Perfectly collaboration of product, data science, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into powerful technical solutions Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field Significant good exposure in Python/R with at least 5+ years of experience developing and deploying ML and DL models Familiarity with algorithms both in supervised and un-supervised learning Should have significant command of Generative AI, Microsoft OpenAI platform (Azure OpenAI), GPTs, LLMs concepts and techniques with solid hands-on experience Exposure at implementing CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and deployment Expertise with hands on experience in Vector Databases for semantic search, Advanced RAG approaches for LLM models Very Good experience in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, NLP with model architecture Expertise in effectively building and deploying ML systems using frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, sklearn etc Exposure in modular, typed, and object-oriented Python programming Familiar with the core data science languages (such as Python, R, Scala) and with data systems (e.g.SQL, NoSQL) Excellent communication skills with a desire to work in multidisciplinary teams Expert for analysing the errors of the model and designing strategies to overcome them
