Job Description

  • Evaluate supplier along with Purchasing Quality & Technology department to assess new supplier as per Bosch requirements and participate to provide relevant inputs during risk classification for technical feasibility confirmation of supplier.
  • Drive supplier technical discussions for stamped parts (SDP) commodity & execute new developments, platform projects by implementing actions as per the Preventive Quality Planning process.
  • Define Management of Characteristics (MoC) based on manufacturing process robustness along with engineering to derrive Important Characteristics List and communicate to suppliers by defining the requirements for inspection planning & quality assurance.
  • Define and implement measurement methodology based on characteristics based discussion (CBD) to achieve measurement correaltion between Supplier and Bosch.
  • Define and evaluate components at different phases of project to ensure fit, form & function as per the design and process maturity.
  • Identify & mitigate quality risks for new development, platform projects through quality tools like P-FMEA, SPC and ensure compliance of process in accordance with agreed control plan.
  • Involve specialist for special process (Heat treatment, surface treatment, welding )and conduct assessment at supplier site to meet CQI requirements.
  • Define/implement countermeasures for quality, functional issues with problem solving tools.
  • Coordinate with tooling expert for SDP commodity for progressive or stage toolingsupplier to evaluate tool development as per industry standards and act as a SPOC for internal stakeholders on various projects.
  • Analyze the behavior sheet metal within thetooland identify potential defects to optimize tooling and process parameters for improved quality and manufacturabilityin consultation with specialist.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Engineering (Mechanical, Production, Automobile)
  • Post graduation in Quality management is desired
  • 6 to10years of experience in purchasing quality / Process development
  • 4 years of experience in New part & process development
