As a Purchasing Specialist in the field of road and highway construction materials such as sand, cement, stone chips, bitumen, you will be responsible for the following key responsibilities: - Purchasing experience in the field of road, highway construction materials such as sand, cement stone chips bitumen etc. - Dealing with machines and materials of road construction - Conducting product research and sourcing new suppliers and vendors. - Sourcing materials, goods, products, and services and negotiating the best or most cost-effective contracts and deals. - Performing inventory inspections and reordering supplies and stock as necessary. - Inspecting stock and reporting any faulty items or inconsistencies immediately. - Coordinating with the delivery team and following up on delays or orders that have been rescheduled. Qualifications Required: - Prior experience in purchasing within the road and highway construction industry. - Strong negotiation skills and the ability to source cost-effective contracts. - Knowledge of road construction materials and machinery. - Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify faulty items. - Strong communication skills to coordinate with suppliers and the delivery team effectively. In this role, you will work full-time on a permanent basis with benefits including health insurance and Provident Fund. The work location will be in person.,
