Purchase Officer

1. Procurement & Sourcing

Identify and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and service.

Request and analyze quotations, ensuring competitive pricing.

Negotiate contracts, terms, and delivery schedules.

Source alternative suppliers to mitigate risks and ensure supply continuity.

2. Purchase Order Management

Issue and track purchase orders in the ERP/system.

Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.

Coordinate with logistics for shipping, customs clearance, and delivery arrangements.

3. Supplier Relationship Management

Maintain strong professional relationships with suppliers.

Monitor supplier performance and resolve any quality or delivery issues.

Conduct supplier audits when necessary.

4. Cost & Inventory Control

Monitor and control procurement costs to meet budget targets.

Work closely with inventory and warehouse teams to optimize stock levels.

Participate in cost-saving and value engineering initiatives.

5. Compliance & Documentation

Ensure purchases comply with company policies and legal requirements.

Maintain accurate purchasing records, contracts, and supplier databases.

Stay updated on market trends, price fluctuations, and industry developments.
