Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Purchase Executive with at least 3 years of experience in procurement, retail, and specifically dealing with foreign suppliers in the stationery industry . The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing a wide range of stationery products, managing relationships with international suppliers, negotiating prices, and ensuring that our retail operations are well-stocked with high-quality products. This role requires strong communication skills, a deep understanding of the stationery market, and the ability to efficiently manage purchasing and supply chain activities. Key Responsibilities: Source stationery products from both domestic and international suppliers, ensuring the best possible prices, quality, and timely delivery to meet retail demands. International & domestic both experience required. Negotiate with foreign suppliers to secure favorable terms, competitive pricing, and advantageous delivery schedules. Monitor and manage the purchasing cycle, from creating and issuing purchase orders to receiving and inspecting products. Coordinate the import/export process, including managing customs clearance, shipping, and handling all necessary documentation for international orders. Collaborate with the retail and merchandising teams to ensure the right mix of products (e.g., pens, paper, office supplies, school supplies) are available in stores, particularly around peak retail seasons like back-to-school. Maintain optimal stock levels in retail stores and warehouses, analyzing sales trends to ensure inventory turnover is efficient without overstocking. Conduct regular market research to identify potential suppliers, evaluate the latest stationery trends, and explore new products to introduce to the store. Maintain strong relationships with international vendors and resolve any issues related to product defects, returns, or delays. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Retail Management, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing/procurement within the retail industry, with specific experience in sourcing products from foreign suppliers. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with international vendors. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other business tools. Desirable Skills: Fluency in communication with international suppliers. Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CIPS, CSCP) is a plus.
