Designation: Purchase Executive / Sr. Executive – Packaging Material & Others

Location: Surat (Piplod)

Job Responsibilities:

• Handle end-to-end procurement of packaging materials like corrugated boxes, tapes, stretch films, pallets, labels, housekeeping and stationary etc.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors for packaging and miscellaneous materials.
• Collect quotations, compare pricing, and negotiate for best rates and terms.
• Raise purchase orders and follow up with vendors for on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with production, stores, and warehouse teams for material requirements.
• Track inventory levels and plan procurement to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
• Maintain proper purchase records, agreements, and supplier data in Excel/ERP.
• Resolve issues related to quality, shortages, or delivery delays.
• Evaluate vendor performance periodically and ensure compliance with standards.
• Work closely with accounts and logistics for smooth billing and material movement.
• Ensure adherence to internal procurement policies and documentation norms.
• Generate periodic reports on purchase cost, supplier performance, and material planning.

Required Skills:

• Good knowledge of packaging materials used in manufacturing/logistics.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Must have on-boarded new vendors
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP or Purchase software
• Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and manage priorities.
• Attention to detail and good record-keeping skills.
• Basic understanding of GST, delivery terms, and material handling.

Education:

• Graduate in any discipline (Preferred: B.Com, BBA, or Diploma in Materials Management)

Experience Required:

• 2 to 5 years of experience in purchasing packaging materials or indirect procurement in manufacturing/logistics industry.
