Designation: Purchase Executive / Sr. Executive – General Items

Location: Surat (Piplod)

Job Responsibilities:

· Identify and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, service, and reliability.

· Obtain and compare quotes from vendors and negotiate contracts and terms of purchase.

· Process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

· Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and vendor details.

· Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the stores or warehouse team to replenish stock as required.

· Collaborate with internal departments to forecast demand and ensure alignment with purchasing plans.

· Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures.

· Resolve issues related to delivery delays, quality complaints, or invoice discrepancies.

· Track market trends and stay updated on new products and suppliers.

· Assist in cost control initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvements.

Required Skills:

• Good knowledge of Purchasing General Items

• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

• Must have on-boarded new vendors

• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP or Purchase software

• Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and manage priorities.

• Attention to detail and good record-keeping skills.

• Basic understanding of GST, delivery terms, and material handling.

Education:

• Graduate in any discipline (Preferred: B.Com, BBA, or Diploma in Materials Management)

Experience Required:

• 1 to 5 years of experience in purchasing general item/ materials or indirect procurement in manufacturing/logistics industry.
