Purchase Assistant

Location Borivali West office, Mumbai

Employment Full-time | Work from office

Salary 35,000-50,000 per month, depending on experience and interview

Support the purchase team in sourcing materials, coordinating with suppliers and ensuring timely availability of approved materials and supplies.

Key responsibilities

- Obtain supplier quotations for raw materials, packaging and office/production supplies; prepare price and

delivery comparisons.

- Assist with purchase orders after approval; check item specifications, quantities, rates and agreed delivery

terms.

- Follow up with suppliers for dispatch and delivery; coordinate requirements with the factory, stores and

accounts teams.

- Maintain purchase records, vendor details and pending-order trackers in Excel or the company system.

- Check purchase invoices against orders and received quantities; coordinate discrepancies, shortages and

returns.

- Assist with supplier sourcing, negotiation and approved payment follow-ups; escalate delays promptly.

Candidate requirements

- Graduate preferred. Relevant experience in purchase, procurement or vendor coordination is preferred;

strong entry-level applicants may be considered.

- Working knowledge of Excel, email and documentation; ERP experience is an advantage.

- Good communication, follow-up, basic numerical ability and attention to detail. Manufacturing or chemicals

exposure is an advantage.
