1. Conceptualize, design, and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems. 2. Prepare 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings using software like SolidWorks, Creo, or AutoCAD. 3. Perform tolerance stack-up analysis, GD&T, and ensure manufacturability. 4.Conduct design calculations (strength, stress, thermal, etc.) and assist in FEA/CFD validation. 5.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, manufacturing, quality, purchasing) during product development. 6.Support prototyping, testing, and design validation activities. 7.Create and maintain Bill of Materials (BOMs) and engineering documentation. 8.Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards (ISO, ASME, BIS, etc.). 9.Suggest design modifications for cost optimization and improved performance. 10.Participate in design reviews and implement feedback for continuous improvement. Role & responsibilities Preferred candidate profile 1.Strong knowledge of CAD tools (SolidWorks/Creo/Inventor/CATIA). 2.Understanding of GD&T and drafting standards. 3.Experience with sheet metal, plastic, or machined component design. 4.Knowledge of DFM/DFA principles. 5.Exposure to FEA tools (ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation) basic level acceptable. 6.Familiarity with manufacturing processes (machining, welding, casting, sheet metal). 7.Problem-solving ability with good analytical skills. 8.Good communication and teamwork skills.
