As a SME Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the design of new HyperScale and Edge Data Centers, starting from site selection and encompassing civil and architectural aspects, as well as HVAC components such as chillers, air handling units, VRF systems, and more. Your primary objective will be to ensure that each data center design aligns with both customer requirements and internal standards. You will be expected to introduce the latest innovations in Data Center technology to improve efficiency metrics like PuE and WuE. Collaboration with various stakeholders including vendors, consultants, and internal teams is essential to ensure timely project delivery while upholding international standards. Additionally, you will engage with customers to understand their design preferences and incorporate them into the overall design process. Your responsibilities will include creating detailed engineering designs for Tier 3/4 Data Centers, developing master layout designs for various systems, preparing equipment tender BOQs with technical specifications, conducting heat load calculations, and interacting with customers to tailor the Data Center design to their business needs. It will be crucial to maintain meticulous design documentation, coordinate with vendors and contractors, and communicate effectively with management regarding project progress. You should possess a strong understanding of integrated site acceptance testing processes and be able to review test scripts while overseeing the testing and commissioning phase from a design perspective. To qualify for this role, you must hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering and have demonstrated experience in the Data Center industry. A solid technical background in data center infrastructure, proficiency in tools such as AUTOCAD, BIM REVIT, and CFD, and organizational skills with attention to detail are essential. Ideally, you should also have a CDCP certification to enhance your credentials in this field.,
