Job Description

About the Role: The ideal candidate will have extensive experience supporting middleware technologies on Linux, managing cloud infrastructure (AWS and Azure), This role involves designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based solutions, supporting middleware components, and ensuring high availability, security, and performance of enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates and scripts using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM.

  • Manage cloud infrastructure and middleware applications across AWS and Azure environments.
  • Onboard and administer business applications in cloud and non-cloud infrastructure, working with teams to set up native cloud services.
  • Support and troubleshoot middleware technologies (e.g., WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss, Tomcat) running on Linux.
  • Develop Unix/Linux shell scripts for operational automation, log management, application monitoring, and manual task automation.
  • Perform system upgrades, patching, and version management to ensure systems are up-to-date and secure.
  • Monitor cloud and application environments for performance, security, and compliance, aiming for zero vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with various technology groups to investigate and resolve issues, ensuring seamless application performance.
  • Track and manage work plans for systems, communicate progress to stakeholders, and meet key deliverables.
  • Participate in incident management, change management, and shift rotations (APAC and US hours).
  • Ensure systems adhere to security best practices, including network topology, high availability, load balancing, and failover configurations.
  • Document technical processes, participate in team meetings, and contribute to decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience working with middleware on Linux environments.
  • Working experience in Linux environments preferred.
  • Strong understanding of network topology (three-tier architecture) and cloud computing frameworks (AWS or Azure).
  • Experience upgrading/patching applications hosted on Linux platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with incident management lifecycle and change management processes.
  • Working knowledge of DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Oracle Linux Automation Manager (OLAM).
  • Deep understanding of cloud networking, security concepts, and native cloud services.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Goal-oriented, able to multi-task, and meet client expectations and deadlines.
  • Independent, resourceful, and capable of working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Good exposure to AWS and Azure console components.
  • Experience with high availability, load balancing, and failover configurations.
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Shell, or similar languages.
  • ITIL v3 or ITIL Service Operation certification is an advantage.
  • Experience with enterprise middleware and integration technologies.
