Job Title: Manager Supplier Quality & Development Location: Vadodara, Gujarat Industry: Oil & Gas (Project-based Supply Chain) Experience Required: Minimum 12 years Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Manager Supplier Quality, Qualification & Development with a proven track record in the oil & gas project industry, specifically in supplier audits, vendor development, and global sourcing. The selected candidate will lead the qualification and development of a broad vendor base, including auditing Part/Process Test Reports (PTRs), assessing quality documents, and evaluating both domestic and international suppliers (particularly in markets like China). This is a strategic role focused on ensuring supplier readiness and compliance for large-scale EPC and turnkey projects. Responsibilities: Conduct detailed audits of over new vendor PTRs and related quality documents to evaluate historical performance and compliance. Lead supplier qualification and requalification processes for project-critical equipment, raw materials, and bulk items. Drive vendor development initiatives to build capability, capacity, and compliance among both local and foreign suppliers. Assess and qualify international suppliers, particularly from China, including review of certifications, test plans, manufacturing facilities, and compliance with international standards. Read and verify technical documentation such as QAPs (Quality Assurance Plans), ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans) and supplier performance with existing clients. Coordinate with sourcing, engineering, and project teams to ensure supplier alignment with project requirements, specifications, and timelines. Build and maintain a supplier performance monitoring system (scorecards, KPIs, audits). Ensure adherence to quality management systems (ISO 9001/API/ASME) and factory assessments. Lead or participate in supplier development programs, maintain comprehensive documentation and traceability records for all audit and qualification activities. Qualifications & Skills- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering (or equivalent). Minimum 12 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Vendor Development, or QA/QC roles within the oil & gas projects or EPC sector. Experience working with foreign vendors, especially in China, including remote audits, technical assessments, and communication with overseas manufacturers. Sound knowledge of international codes and standards. Strong exposure to project procurement, Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation equipment QA, and bulk material sourcing. Proficient in document review, supplier dossiers, and ERP tools (SAP/Oracle/MS Excel).
