Conduct routine inspections of transformers, circuit breakers, and protection systems. Ensure proper functioning of SCADA, RTU, and substation automation systems . Log and analyze load patterns, voltage fluctuations, and system abnormalities . 2 Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance of 400kV equipment as per the schedule. Perform contact resistance measurement (CRM), insulation resistance (IR) testing, and DGA analysis for transformers. Carry out breaker timing tests, SF6 gas monitoring, and CT/PT testing . Troubleshoot relay coordination issues, busbar protection failures, and fault analysis . Ensure battery banks, DC systems, and UPS units are maintained properly. 3 Emergency Handling & Breakdown Maintenance: Respond immediately to faults, tripping, and emergency shutdowns. Identify and rectify switchyard faults, protection relay failures, and circuit breaker malfunctions . Coordinate with Load Dispatch Centers (LDCs) and grid operators for system restoration. Ensure safe isolation and restoration of faulty equipment . 4 Documentation & Reporting: Maintain records of maintenance schedules, test results, and system performance logs . Prepare shift handover reports , incident reports, and breakdown analysis reports. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and safety regulations . 5 Compliance & Safety: Adhere to LOTO (Lockout-Tagout) procedures for maintenance activities. Ensure safety protocols are followed while working on live switchyard equipment . Conduct risk assessments and ensure PPE compliance . Technical Knowledge: 400kV GIS/AIS Maintenance & Troubleshooting Protection Relay Testing & Coordination SF6 Gas Handling & Monitoring Battery & DC System Maintenance SCADA & Substation Automation Certifications: NEBOSH, OSHA, or relevant safety & maintenance training preferred .
