As a Network Security Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day administration of network firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and proxy systems. This includes adding, modifying, and validating firewall, VPN, IDS/IPS, and proxy policies and rules based on customer requirements. You will troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to network security devices and technologies, as well as coordinate the deployment and rebuild of firewall and proxy infrastructure as needed. Additionally, you will be required to provide 24x7 on-call support on a rotational basis. You will leverage automation and scripting tools to streamline and scale security operations, ensuring operational efficiency. It is essential to maintain and update incident, request, and change records as per ITIL processes. You will also participate in problem management and root cause analysis (RCA) activities to ensure long-term resolution of recurring issues, collaborating with teams to improve the security posture and implement best practices. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Strong hands-on experience with enterprise-grade firewalls, such as Check Point, Fortinet, and Palo Alto Networks, is required, with proficiency in at least two. Additionally, proficiency in proxy policy management using tools like Zscaler and Forcepoint is necessary. Experience with cloud-based Web Application Firewalls (WAF) like Imperva, Akamai, F5, or Fortinet is preferred, with expertise in at least two. Familiarity with centralized management platforms like Provider-1 and/or Panorama is also beneficial. Desired certifications for this role include PCNSE (Palo Alto Certified Network Security Engineer), CCSE (Check Point Certified Security Expert), CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate), CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), and Security+ (CompTIA Security+).
