The ideal candidate for this position should hold a B. Sc. / M. Sc., B. Pharm/ M. Pharm degree, with a preference for candidates having an MBA in a Science background. With 2 to 3 years of experience, we are looking to fill 1 opening in Noida. The working days are from Monday to Saturday with a salary bracket ranging from 1.80 LPA to 3.00 LPA. As a patent analyst, your primary responsibility will involve conducting daily patent searches utilizing various methods, databases, and technology reviews. You will be assigned to patent-related projects that require researching and understanding new technologies, along with performing different forms of patent searches based on your findings. Analyzing patent claims and descriptions for mapping, portfolio analysis, and categorization will be a key aspect of your role. Candidates must excel in patent analytics, including landscapes, patentability, invalidations, novelty, FTOs, market research, and infringement analysis. Additionally, you will need to interact with inventors to draft patent specifications based on the provided invention disclosures. A strong technical background, analytical skills, and knowledge of Asian, European, and US Patent Law are essential for this role. Furthermore, the candidate should possess experience in using patent and non-patent literature research tools such as Patbase, Orbit intelligence, Thomson Innovation, STN, or other open-source tools. Creating claim charts on technology products, conducting secondary research in markets, and presenting findings to clients will also be part of your responsibilities. The successful candidate should have good oral and written communication skills for reporting findings to clients effectively. It is crucial to have a marketing and commercial knowledge base and stay updated on current market trends. Preference will be given to candidates who have previously worked in similar positions. Your tasks will include performing different types of patent searches based on your research findings, utilizing your technical background and experiences to understand patent disclosures, and draft key features of inventions or patents. You must be well-versed in patent analytics for both patent and non-patent literature, including landscapes, patentability, invalidations, novelty, freedom to operate (FTOs), market research, and infringement analysis. Your expertise should extend to analyzing patent claims and descriptions for claims mapping, portfolio analysis, and patent categorization. Additionally, you should be able to assess patent file histories thoroughly. Part of your role will involve evaluating project processes to identify steps that can be automated for improved efficiency and reduced time consumption. You should be capable of drafting both Provisional and Non-provisional patents in accordance with guidelines from various patent offices such as Australia, Canada, Europe, India, Japan, and the US. Interacting with inventors to draft patent specifications based on their disclosures will also be within your purview. A detailed understanding of Asian, European, and US Patent Law is essential for this position. Your technical expertise and analytical mindset will be crucial in extracting essential features of inventions, conducting secondary market research, and developing insights into companies within assigned sectors. Furthermore, you will be required to present your findings to clients in detailed reports, necessitating strong oral and written communication skills. The ideal candidate for this role should possess a strong technical background, marketing and commercial knowledge, and be dynamic enough to stay abreast of current market trends. Proficiency in using patent and non-patent literature research tools, creating claim charts on technology products, and prior experience in the IP field, marketing, and business will be advantageous. Preference will be given to candidates with relevant work experience.
