Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Storage Support Engineer to provide critical 24/7 technical support and troubleshooting for our diverse storage infrastructure. In this remote role, you will be a key player in ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our storage solutions, delivering exceptional support to our clients worldwide. This position requires participation in a rotational shift schedule to provide continuous coverage. Key Responsibilities: Provide expert-level technical support and troubleshooting for a wide range of storage systems, including Nutanix Files, NetApp, Nasuni, Dell EMC (Unity, ECS, PowerStore, etc.), IBM (e.g., Storwize, DS Series), HP 3PAR, and Hitachi (e.g., VSP, HNAS) , and other traditional file/block/object storage solutions. Diagnose and resolve complex storage-related issues, including performance bottlenecks, capacity management, data integrity concerns, and connectivity problems. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (e.g., infrastructure, development, operations) to design, implement, and maintain robust storage solutions that align with business requirements and best practices. Perform proactive monitoring, health checks, and maintenance of storage infrastructure to ensure high availability, optimal performance, and reliability. Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive documentation, procedures, and runbooks for storage management, support, and incident response. Actively participate in an on-call rotation (24/7 shift) to respond to critical incidents, alerts, and escalations in a timely and effective manner, minimizing service disruption. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field. Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in storage administration, engineering, or technical support roles within an IT services environment. Mandatory hands-on experience with at least one or two of the following technologies: Nutanix (especially Nutanix Files), NetApp, or Nasuni. Proven experience with other enterprise storage systems such as Dell EMC (Unity, ECS), IBM (Storwize, DS Series), HP 3PAR, and Hitachi (VSP, HNAS) is highly preferred. Strong understanding of core storage concepts, protocols, and technologies, including NAS (NFS, SMB/CIFS), SAN (Fibre Channel, iSCSI), object storage, and data protection strategies (snapshots, replication, backup, recovery). Experience with storage management tools and platforms, such as Nutanix Prism, NetApp OnCommand, Nasuni Management Console, Dell EMC Unisphere, etc. Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues under pressure. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment. Relevant certifications such as Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP), NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA), Dell EMC Proven Professional, or equivalent, are a significant plus. Shift Details: This is a 24/7 rotational shift position. Candidates must be willing and able to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as part of a scheduled rotation.
