Job Description

You will be responsible for the following key tasks: - Designing and developing liquid fuel injection systems for aero engine applications - Applying systems level modelling approach for engine design - Developing combustors from systems level design and requirements - Creating HPC based digital twins using multiphase and reactive flow models - Coordinating with design, manufacturing team, and vendors for successful component realization - Conducting combustion test rig and experimental campaigns - Performing hardware testing on test rigs, followed by rapid design iterations - Conducting engine ground testing, data analysis, and design revisions - Setting up advanced experiments using laser diagnostics - Understanding liquid fuel flow systems for Jet A and high-pressure plumbing - Implementing best practices related to high pressure plumbing lines, pressure regulation, and formulation of P&IDs - Ensuring safety protocols in testing - Coordinating with the turbomachinery team for system integration Qualifications and Skills required for this role include: - Bachelors/ Masters or PhD in Aerospace or related fields, with a focus on propulsion - Understanding of fundamental combustion and multiphase flow concepts - Knowledge of aero engine/gas turbine technologies, thermodynamic cycles, and basic systems level analysis - Experience with combustion experiments, hardware development, and laser-based visualization experiments - Experience with multiphase/spray measurements and experiments - Experience in building fuel injection systems and combustors for aerospace applications, with an understanding of basic fuel injection concepts Preferred Skills for this role include: - Understanding of combustion and multiphase models and commercial CFD tools - Hands-on experience with gas turbines and aero engines - Knowledge of conjugate heat transfer and modelling techniques - Familiarity with super alloys and materials relevant to aero engine parts - Understanding of machining and manufacturing processes In addition to the above responsibilities and qualifications, you will gain the following benefits from this job: - End-to-end exposure to real-world jet engine development, including control systems, hardware realization, and flight testing - Mentorship from experienced aerospace engineers and hands-on work with cutting-edge propulsion technologies - Opportunity to work on advanced aerospace R&D in high-speed transonic regimes, using both scientific and practical engineering approaches - A strong stepping stone toward advanced careers in propulsion, flight control, embedded systems, or aerospace research - Professional work environment with a five-day work week, standard benefits, and collaboration on world-class projects,
