Job Title: Operations Manager Company: StayXP (BSG Hospitality Consulting) Location: Pondicherry (Candidates must be willing to relocate if not local) Experience: Minimum 4 years in hotel operations (preferably boutique or leisure-focused) Qualification: Degree/Diploma in Hotel Management Tenure Commitment: Minimum 1 year Salary: Up to ₹50,000 per month Role Overview: The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations across StayXP properties to ensure smooth functioning, adherence to standards, and exceptional guest experiences. This role involves managing multiple departments, optimizing operations, and maintaining service excellence through effective leadership and strategic planning. Key Responsibilities:1. Property Oversight & Quality Control Conduct regular audits to maintain consistent service standards. Ensure compliance with established SOPs across departments (Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, etc.). Implement and update operational SOPs as required. Address and resolve guest or property-level escalations promptly. 2. Training & Development Design and execute training programs for new and existing staff. Conduct performance reviews and feedback sessions. Foster a culture of continuous learning and service excellence. 3. Recruitment & Team Building Identify hiring needs and manage recruitment for on-ground teams. Oversee onboarding, orientation, and induction processes. Build a motivated, high-performing operations team. 4. Sales & Inventory Management Collaborate with the central reservations team to meet sales targets. Monitor occupancy, ADR, and revenue across OTAs and direct channels. Manage inventory distribution to maximize revenue yield. 5. Vendor & Procurement Management Source and manage vendor relationships. Negotiate contracts and control costs. Oversee procurement processes and maintain optimal stock levels. 6. Expense Tracking & Budgeting Prepare and monitor monthly budgets for each property. Approve operational expenses and track variances. Coordinate with finance for P&L analysis and cost optimization. 7. Performance Monitoring & Reporting Prepare weekly/monthly performance reports. Define KPIs for operational teams and ensure targets are met. Use data insights to enhance efficiency and guest satisfaction. Skills & Competencies: Strong understanding of hotel operations and hospitality standards. Experience with PMS tools (Ezee, Stayflexi preferred). Excellent team management and leadership skills. Financial acumen in budgeting, cost control, and reporting. Excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities. Hands-on, quality-driven, and solution-oriented mindset.
