Job Title: Electronic Warfare (EW) Application Engineer Location: Chennai, India Department: EW division Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and technically proficient EW Application Engineer to support and manage Electronic Warfare (EW) system requirements. This role involves responding to RFPs, RFIs, and end-user queries; coordinating within and across teams; and managing financial and billing aspects of EW projects. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge in RF, wireless communication systems, and radar technologies, and will serve as a critical interface between customers, internal engineering teams, and management. Key Responsibilities: RFP/RFI Management: Analyze, prepare, and respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) related to EW systems. Collaborate with technical and sales teams to develop competitive technical and commercial proposals. Customer Interaction: Address and resolve technical queries from end users regarding EW system functionalities, specifications, and capabilities. Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support as required. Team Coordination: Act as the liaison for inter- and intra-team communications and task management to ensure timely project execution. The ideal candidate will have experience with a variety of antenna types, simulation tools, and measurement techniques. You will work closely with RF, mechanical, and systems engineers to deliver antenna solutions for defence platforms. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop antennas including patch, monopole, dipole, LPDA, helical, Yagi, horn, or phased arrays. Perform full-wave EM simulations using tools like HFSS, CST, FEKO, ADS, or COMSOL. Conduct impedance matching, gain optimization, polarization tuning, and bandwidth enhancement. Integrate antennas into RF systems and platforms, considering mechanical and environmental constraints. Characterize antenna performance through measurements (VSWR, S11, gain, radiation pattern, isolation) using VNA, anechoic chambers, and test ranges. Work with cross-functional teams (RF, PCB, mechanical, systems) for co-design and integration. Generate design documentation, technical reports, and participate in reviews.
