This role provides you with the opportunity to stay informed about evolving regulatory developments in EMEA and APAC, analyze their impact on the asset management business, and assist the Head of Compliance and Regulatory Developments Team in achieving key departmental objectives. Your responsibilities will include: Tracking Regulatory Developments: - Identify, assess, and monitor key regulatory developments and changes affecting Columbia Threadneedle Investments in EMEA and APAC regions. - Utilize regulatory tracker tools, review regulatory websites, and gather information from various sources in relevant jurisdictions. - Maintain regulatory developments tracker and SharePoint log, ensuring timely follow-up on implementation status. - Contribute to meetings receiving Compliance updates and collaborate with the North America Regulatory Developments team as necessary. Regulatory Analysis: - Conduct initial assessments of upcoming regulatory changes to determine their impact on the organization. - Gather input from stakeholders to support assessment. - Assist in detailed analysis and interpretation of regulatory changes, providing advice and guidance to the business. - Coordinate with Columbia Threadneedle America on SEC regulations affecting EMEA operations. Reporting: - Inform relevant stakeholders and GCO colleagues about new regulatory developments affecting the company. - Assist in preparing reports, including Management Information (MI) related to regulatory developments. - Maintain regulatory change sections on the intranet and contribute to the regulatory developments newsletter. Projects Participation: - Support the identification and implementation of new regulatory developments in collaboration with Business Change. - Participate in regulatory projects and provide training on UK/EU/APAC regulatory changes to US businesses. - Attend trade association forums, assist in creating training materials, and support training initiatives as needed.
