Projection Mapping & Immersive Media Specialist

About the Role: As a projection mapping expert, you will be responsible for transforming real-world spaces into unforgettable digital-physical experiences. Your main focus will be on working with live installations in high-end entertainment zones, where you will combine real-time visuals, mapped projections, and sensor-triggered interactivity to create immersive experiences for the audience. Responsibilities: - Design and implement projection mapping installations on various surfaces such as walls, floors, objects, and custom surfaces. - Calibrate and align multi-projector setups using tools like MadMapper, TouchDesigner, Resolume, or equivalent software. - Integrate content from 3D models and motion graphics into mapped environments to enhance the visual experience. - Collaborate closely with designers, coders, and electronics teams to ensure synchronized experiences for the audience. - Manage on-site setup, testing, and troubleshooting during installations to ensure the successful execution of the projection mapping projects. Required Skills: - Possess 3+ years of hands-on experience working with projection mapping technology. - Proficiency in using tools such as MadMapper, TouchDesigner, Unity/Unreal Engine, or similar software. - Solid understanding of projector alignment, edge blending, and warping techniques. - Experience with 3D modeling tools like Blender, Maya, Cinema4D, and UV mapping. - Ability to work independently under tight timelines and variable conditions while maintaining a high level of quality in the projection mapping projects. Bonus Skills (Nice to Have): - Experience with sensors such as Kinect, RealSense, LiDAR, or motion-triggered installations. - Familiarity with AI tools like Stable Diffusion, RunwayML, or Kaiber for enhancing projection mapping experiences. - Knowledge of shader or generative art programming to create unique visual effects. - Previous installation experience at museums, events, retail spaces, or Family Entertainment Centers (FECs) would be a plus.
